Three Deny Theft From Ministry of Defence at Longtown

Three men will go on trial after denying the theft of industrial kitchenware belonging to the Ministry of Defence.

Andrew Davidson, 58, Kevin Messenger, 51, and Mark Messenger, 56, each entered not guilty pleas at Carlisle Crown Court today before Recorder Michael Murray.

The three men are  jointly accused of stealing kitchenware worth several thousands of pounds, from the Ministry of Defence depot near Longtown on February 6.

Kevin Messenger, of Bentpath House, Langholm;, Mark Messenger, of Water Street, Glasson and Davidson, of Goosegarth, Wetheral are due to go on trial at the crown court in February next year.

In the meantime, they were all released on unconditional bail.
