Circular 35/26 

This circular is to inform those who are members of the Group Insurance Scheme that your scheme will renew on 1st October 2026. After a competitive tender process, the Scheme has been moved to Gallagher Group Insurance.

We are confident that the scheme continues to offer great value when compared to products available on the open market.

DPF has worked hard to ensure that premiums remain the same and existing cover is maintained, while introducing a number of additional and enhanced benefits for members as listed below.

Scheme Enhancements

Life Cover

Life Cover has been increased from £120,000 to £130,000.

Personal Accident Benefits

Permanent Total Disablement – increased from £100,000 to £120,000.

Convalescence stay – £70 per stay

Worldwide Travel

Excess reduced to £40

Motor Breakdown

Now provided by the RAC

Best Doctors 2nd Opinion

Access to health professionals worldwide who are experts in their field and can provide a second opinion on diagnoses for members and their families.

Mobile and Gadget Cover 

New cover for members’ mobile phones and gadgets, including repair and replacement of items such as laptops, iPads and AirPods.

Retired Members

Retired members will receive separate communication regarding the change of provider and any action required in relation to their Direct Debit arrangements. Please follow the instructions provided to ensure your cover continues without interruption.

Policy Booklets and Claims Processes

Full details of the policies, together with Gallagher customer service contact details, claims information and relevant links, will be published on the DPF website shortly.

This circular is intended to make members aware of the forthcoming change of provider. Existing cover is being maintained, with additional benefits and enhancements introduced under the new scheme. There is no reduction in the cover currently provided.

Further information will be communicated to members ahead of the new scheme commencing on 1st October 2026.
