The Defence Police Federation Annual Conference 2026 will be held from Wednesday 18th November 2026 to Friday 20th November 2026.
This DPF circular is to formally call for Motions for Annual Conference 2026.
Accompanying this DPF Circular is a detailed “Guidance Note for the Submission of Motions for Annual Conference”.
This Guidance Note was mandated by Annual Conference 2024 to be produced for the benefit of Branch Representatives and ISR Representatives when proposing to submit Motions.
Please also note the following:
- Conference Motions being presented to Annual Conference 2026 should not, in the normal course of events, have previously been presented and defeated at an Annual Conference within the last three years ie. 2023, 2024 and 2025.
- Conference Motions and results for 2023, 2024 and 2025 can be reviewed on the DPF website: https://dpf.org.uk/annual-conference/
- The list of Conference Motions to be presented to Annual Conference 2026 will be published on the DPF website no later than 21st October 2026 for the information of members.
- When submitting Conference Motions please ensure that you have a named proposer and seconder. These must be Branch Representatives attending the Annual Conference 2026. Please also ensure that their respective DPF Branches are identified.
- Emergency Motions will be accepted from the floor of Annual Conference 2026 on the day.
General Considerations
- The Conference Motions must be submitted through the respective Branch Representative and in the name of the DPF Branch and not submitted from individual members.
- Proposers of Conference Motions must ensure that they also have a named seconder. The seconder must be a Branch Representative who will be attending the Annual Conference. Both the proposer and seconder of a Conference Motion must be prepared to present the Motion to Annual Conference and speak as to its contents.
- To assist with the smooth organisation of the Annual Conference 2026, proposed Conference Motions should be forwarded to DPF HQ, via email to admin2@dpf.org.uk or admin1@dpf.org.uk by no later than 05th October 2026. This will allow CASOC (the Conference Arrangements and Standing Orders Committee) plenty of time to ensure that any proposed Conference Motion is competent to be placed before the Annual Conference 2026.
