Yesterday I took part in the Police Committee meeting for the Ministry Defence Police (MDP) where several senior members of the Department, representing our customers and the wider MoD, were present alongside the committee members and senior members of the Force.
One of the purposes of this committee is to offer assurance to the Department and the Secretary of State on how the MDP is operating and I have to say that no better assurance could be given than that received during that meeting.
Those representing our individual customers and the MoD as a whole consistently stated that they were extremely grateful for the “Exceptional Service” and the “Can-do Attitude” of our officers during this recent COVID 19 crisis and that they were impressed with the flexible way in which we had risen to the tasks that had presented themselves.
This is a message that I think it is important to pass across to you, our officers-our members, and I was extremely proud to hear such praise from the people who we protect and defend.
Please keep up the good work, stay safe, stay well and know that what you do each day is genuinely valued and recognised.
