The Defence Police Federation Annual Conference 2025 will be held from Wednesday 19thNovember 2025 to Friday 21st November 2025.
This DPF Circular is to formally advise that the election cycle dictates that there will be Branch Representative vacancies on the National Executive Committee. There is one vacancy for each of the Northern and the Southern Areas.
The successful candidate in each election will have a 3-year term of office commencing at the Annual Conference 2025 and ending at the Annual Conference 2028.
The eligibility criteria for election to the National Executive Committee are laid out in Rule 9 (a) of the DPF Rules & Constitution (2023 version) which states.
Rule 9 – Election to the National Executive Committee
- Unless otherwise resolved by Annual Conference for that year, to stand for election to the National Executive Committee a member must:
- Be fully paid up and have at least three years unbroken membership at the time of nomination: andÂ
- Have served at least one year’s membership as a Branch Representative.
Should any DPF member, who meets the qualifying criteria, wish to stand for election to the National Executive Committee please complete the Nomination Form relative to your Area and return by email to DPF HQ using the following email addresses – admin1@dpf.org.uk or admin2@dpf.org.uk
There are strict deadlines to follow with regard to the election process and all Nomination Forms must be completed and received DPF HQ no later than 12noon on Friday 31st October 2025.
Due to changes to the Rules & Constitution (including Rule 9) agreed at the Annual Conference 2024, CASOC will then produce an Interim List of Candidates for each Area and publish this to the DPF membership.
At the opening session of Annual Conference 2025, there will be a call for any further candidates to submit Nomination Forms. This additional “nomination window” will close at 12noon on 20th November 2025.
In the event of there being more candidates than vacancies, CASOC will proceed to make the necessary arrangements for an election.
Only the Branch Representatives who are present at Annual Conference will be entitled to vote.
Should anyone have any questions regarding this matter please contact either DPF HQ or your respective Area Secretary.
This is your opportunity to be at the very heart of Defence Police Federation policy and decision making where you will be dealing directly with the strategic issues that face the Federation and its membership.
YOU can make a difference.
