This circular is to update members on the proposal by the MDP management team to change to a universal shift pattern across the Force.
As you are aware the DPF has been engaged with the Force over its desire to have one pattern for all. A large number of you have already responded, whether by email, telephone or by completing the online survey which is still running and can be found on our website.
Please click here to access the online Shift Pattern Survey.
Today the DPF received a response to our submission, which was to address the areas highlighted by our members in the initial consultation document. This document is comprehensive and includes a large amount of detail. For ease the document has been uploaded to our website and we would ask all to read and pass on any thoughts or concerns you have to your Branch Representatives for onward dissemination to our Area Secretaries.

Should you have any difficulties accessing the links or logging in, please contact DPF HQ on 0203 176 6509 for assistance.
You will see from the letter, that the CCMDP has afforded us only a week to consult with you on this issue. We will be responding formally to the Force in due course, but are concerned at the pace being pushed, by the Force, and our ability to engage with you on this issue and the questions you raised in our initial consultation document.
Please keep a watch on our website and Twitter account for updates on this issue.

General Secretary
