MDP PENSION OFFER
This circular is to inform members that the Federation have received a letter from the Minister making an offer of an Effective Pension Age of 65 for all MDP Officers.
This letter does not contain any detail, is linked to an agreement on TACOS and does not meet the needs of our members fully, in that there is no capacity then for members to offset any actuarial reduction down to 60 years of age through the scheme.
As such we have responded to the Minister today and will return to you once we have more detail.
I apologise I cannot be more explicit, but the letter gives little of the detail and refers to a further set of correspondence which we have not yet received.
We will continue to keep you informed as this progresses and are pushing as hard as we can, given the deadlines.
