Oscar Kilo – New Online Resource for Wellbeing by NPCC

By DPF Admin30th May 2017March 5th, 2024Area Updates, Latest News, Northern Updates, Southern Updates

We need to get the message to our staff that “it’s ok not to be ok”.

Oscar Kilo has been initially funded by Public Health England and was created and designed to host the Blue Light Wellbeing Framework and bring together those who are responsible for wellbeing. It is a place to share learning and best practice from across emergency and blue light services so organisations can invest the very best into the wellbeing of their staff.

It’s aims are:

  • To have a place to assess and develop your own wellbeing provision, and to learn from, talk to & share best practice with each other
  • To help create a positive working environment from which people can draw meaning and purpose
  • To instigate the conversation on your organisation’s wellbeing with useful resources, research and news, all in one place

Whilst the site has some areas that are restricted to practitioners only, it also has news and resources on areas such as absence management, leadership, mental health and personal resilience. The Force will be working towards completing the Blue Light Framework, and engaging with the other Forces involved in Oscar Kilo to gain and share best practice.

Oscar Kilo can be found at www.oscarkilo.org.uk and works best using Google Chrome.
