Firstly, we thank those of you who completed the online survey.

Our office staff and our solicitors have been busy sifting through the data supplied, and where mistakes or omissions have been identified they will have contacted you, checking with you the information supplied.

As our claim relates to discrimination, we are required to identify a number of lead claimants from the protective characteristics groups, by example gender and ethnicity, in relation to our claims. We are presently contacting a number of colleagues, requesting that they agree to act as lead claimants. We report that we have received a positive response from members in this regard.

Our solicitor will then draft the particulars of our claims.

Before making a Tribunal Claim, the claimant must go through a process of conciliation under the auspices of ACAS, and then we may lodge our claim at the Employment Tribunal. Therefore, as it currently stands our legal advisors are preparing the necessary documentation for the conciliation process with ACAS.

We have been asked by members, how long this process will likely take? Once the claim is lodged with the Tribunal Service we are in the hands of the court, so we are unable to speculate as to time frames.
