It is with deep sadness and regret that we inform you of the passing of our Chief Constable, Alf Hitchcock
He passed away this morning after a brief illness in hospital.
We're shocked and saddened by the passing of Alf. He was a fantastic person who will be deeply missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially his wife and two daughters.
Alf has left a legacy here in the MDP, which will out survive all of us and his family and friends should be proud of all he achieved throughout his extensive police career.
