Circular 51/23
DPF Circular 44/23 (dated 08th September 2023) detailed the requirement to elect an SSG Representative to serve on the National Executive Committee of the Defence Police Federation and sought nominations from SSG members.
Following the close of nominations, and with three valid nominations received, DPF Circular 48/23 (dated 02nd October 2023) detailed and initiated the election procedure. In accordance with Rule 9 of the Rules and Constitution of the Defence Police Federation (2023 version) a ballot of the SSG membership was carried out and this ballot concluded at 12 noon on Friday 27th October 2023.
CASOC is pleased to advise that there was an approximate 78% turnout from the SSG membership and to formally announce that Paul Cossey of MDP Whitehall received the most votes and has been duly elected as the SSG Representative to serve on the National Executive Committee for a term of three years starting with immediate effect.
The Defence Police Federation would like to take this opportunity to extend its congratulations to Paul on his election to the National Executive Committee. Similarly, the Defence Police Federation would also like to take this opportunity to extend its sincere commiserations to Gavin Creber and Cliff Groves and thank them for their participation in the election. The Defence Police Federation would also like to formally record its thanks for the many years’ service that Cliff Groves has given to it and looks forward to his continued suppor
