As part of the ongoing negotiations on changes to MDP Terms and Conditions of Service (TACOS), a further meeting between the Department and the National Officers of the DPF took place on Thursday 7 May.
The discussions were constructive and we have been able to reach an agreement in principle on a number of important issues. Both sides recognised that the future MDP TACOS proposition must be affordable within the agreed MDP budget over the next 10 years.
Further discussions will focus on the remaining areas of concern for the DPF.
The next meeting will take place before the end of May. Â A further update will be issued in due course.
