It is with deep regret and sadness that we notify our membership of the loss of Michael Murphy on January 7th.
Michael, who was aged 66, joined MDP in March 1988 and retired in June 2012. He served at Coulport, Malvern, Shrivenham, Corsham and Hereford.
After retiring Michael worked as a doorman at the Malvern Theatre and is survived by his wife Ann-Marie and three children: Joanne, Gillian and Mark, who is a serving MDP officer at Hereford.
During his final hours Michael passed a message through Mark for his former MDP colleagues: “Thanks for the good times”.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and former colleagues at this sad time.
