DPF Website and Ballots

By DPF Admin2nd October 2013March 4th, 2024Circulars, Latest News

Members are reminded that all future DPF ballots will be conducted via the website. This is to ensure that everyone receives the opportunity to vote and that all votes are made by valid and current members of the DPF.

It is our intent to ballot members’ opinions on important issues such as Shift Patterns and Rent/Housing Allowance in the very near future thus you are advised to register your latest details by logging in to the DPF website. This is to help inform our negotiating position on our Terms and Conditions of Service. If you are not registered you will not be able to vote.

The process is extremely simple and only takes a few seconds to complete unless your details are out of date and require updating. Even then, no more than a few minutes of your time are required and you will be able to access the site direct from your personal phone once the process is complete.

If you have previously registered, you are simply required to log in with your current password and DPF membership number. An e-mail would have been sent to you upon registering but you can obtain your fed number from DPF Head Office if you have forgotten your number or are unable to access that e-mail.

Do not attempt to log in with the old website details as there is a new process in place. New registrations for current federation members are as follows –

Click the upper right hand button for registration of current members. You will be required to input your Surname and Staff Number and will be asked to update details and input a password. You will receive a confirmation e-mail to the address provided when complete which includes your Federation Membership number. Please memorise and retain this as it will be required for logging in to the site.

Anyone desiring to become a member or to re-join should click on the requisite button and submit the appropriate paperwork.

Although much of the site can be publicly viewed, additional information is password protected and can only be accessed after logging in. Consequently, voting on ballots is only achievable if you are logged into the site. Additionally, diaries will be sent to the addresses currently on database thus it is in your best interests to ensure you have registered and updated your details as DPF do not receive any updates from the Force or DBS.

The website was developed and modified to ensure members were easily contactable and continually updated (there is facility to receive regular updates directly to your phone) but this is only achievable after initial registration. You are therefore advised to register as soon as possible to ensure that you receive your diary and your right to vote.
