This Circular is to inform those who are members of the Group Insurance Scheme, your Group Insurance Policy will renew on 1st October 2023. We are pleased to advise there have been several enhanced benefits, but unfortunately, due to an adverse claims’ history, there has been a slight increase in monthly premium for serving and retired members, there has been no increase for partners. Your subscriptions will continue to be taken by payroll deduction on your usual dates. We are confident that the scheme continues to offer great value when compared to products available on the open market.

Please note the following changes:
Life and Critical Illness Additional cover available up to £100,000 for just £8.50 per month (see page 11 of the Scheme Benefits booklet for details of how to apply).
Travel
- Maximum age extended to 75 years
- New: Rental Vehicle Extension cover up to £1,500
- Enhanced Baggage limit up to £2,500
- Enhanced Smart Delay – complimentary access to airport lounges if your airline announces a delay of more than 90 minutes (pre-registration and conditions apply)
- The Emergency Overseas Assistance number has changed to +44 (0) 330 660 0548
Vehicle Breakdown
- Remains with the same provider but the number has changed to 01206 771 749
Home Emergency
- Cover switched to ARAG with greatly increased cover levels, the emergency contact number is 0330 175 7905
Please ensure you update your phone with the new emergency numbers.
